When we contacted Uber customer support, it took many exchanges before they eventually told me that "gift cards cannot be used towards trips taken with UberRUSH and Family Profiles." I couldn't find any information on the purchase, or redemption, pages that mention these restrictions clearly.. instead, it's buried in the Terms & conditions which, I admit, I didn't read before the purchase.
